Carolina Calling, My apologies for not providing all information in my original post. The system is a Dell Dimension 8200 with the latest hardware and firmware updates applied. The drive will read CDs without issue however is not recognized correctly. Halima, I have gone through and attempted all relevant steps in 982116 with no success.
The diagnostics recognize the drive as a read only device and a regedit does not provide the information that is required. Thank you both for your response. If addional information is to be provided please let me know. Regards, craig.
